Reports have emerged that Ajith’s next movie will be directed by H. Vinoth. Sources say the shooting for the film will begin by February next year. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the music for the movie will be composed by A.R. Rahman.
Tentatively titled Thala59, reports surfaced from as early as March that the actor would be teaming up with Sathuranaga Vettai fame director H. Vinoth for a new movie. It was also reported that the actor had approached late actress Sreedevi’s husband for bankrolling the project.

The film is reported to be a remake of the 2016 Tapsee Pannu-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink. Co-starring Kriti Kulhari and others, and directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the movie was a courtroom drama.
Ajith’s spokesperson said that it was too early to divulge any details regarding the movie. However, an official announcement regarding the movie could be expected after the Deepavali.

Ajith is currently shooting for Viswasam – his fourth collaboration with director Siva after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. Featuring the actor in a double role, the movie is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and co-stars Nayanthara and is gearing up for a Pongal release.
Director H.Vinoth found success with Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. Starring Karthi and Rakul Preeth in lead roles, the movie was based on Operation Bawaria and saw Karthi play the role of a cop. Vinoth who debuted with the heist movie Sathuranga Vettai also has penned the script for its sequel starring Arvind Swami and Trisha. Directed by N.V. Nirmal Kumar, the movie has finished shooting and is awaiting release.
A.R. Rahman had last composed songs for Ajith in 2006, for Varalaaru.
