Thank You Brother: Anasuya Bharadwaj-Starrer Telugu Film to Release on Aha on May 7

Thank You Brother, the Telugu film starring Anasuya Bharadwaj will release on Aha streaming platform on May 7, the makers announced on Monday during a virtual press conference.

Thank You Brother is directed by Ramesh Raparthy and produced by Magunta Sarath Chandra Reddy and Tharaknath Bommi Reddy. The film stars Viraj Ashwin, Monica Reddy, Aadarsh Balakrishna, and Harsha Chemudu.

Thank You Brother is about a pregnant woman, played by Anasuya, and a youngster played by Viraj Ashwin who are stuck in an elevator, the makers said. “80% of the film is shot in the elevator set and the story revolves around these two characters. We also made this film with an aim to screen in film festivals,” Anasuya said.

According to the director, the film’s background score and songs play a vital role in keeping the audience engaged with the film, which is shot in a confined space. He said that the film’s songs will be released soon.

According to the makers, the film which was shot during the Covid-19-induced lockdown in 2020 was initially planned for an OTT release. However, when the situation seemed better they had decided to release the film in theatres on April 30. In the wake of the second wave of Covid-19, the makers decided to return to their decision of an OTT release.

The announcement comes a few days after the theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana opted for a voluntary shut down. Theatre owners said that the decision to close theatres was taken over by the surge in Covid-19 cases and lack of content.

Meanwhile, Anasuya has a slew of projects in the pipeline, including Khiladi (starring Ravi Teja), Pushpa (starring Allu Arjun), and Ranga Marthanda (starring Adarsh Balakrishna).
