The shooting of the Bala-directorial, Thara Thappattai is all set to resume this month. The filming was delayed due to an on set accident. The crew had been shooting in Thanjavur, canning stunt sequences between Sasikumar and the antagonist in the film when Sasikumar fractured his left arm.

Now that the actor has recovered from the injury, shooting will begin again in Hyderabad, followed by Goa and Thanjavur. The film is expected to be wrapped up in a single schedule.
Tharai Thappattai will see Sasikumar don the role of a Nadaswaram exponent, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays a Karagattam dancer. Singer Pragati will be seen as Sasikumar’s sister. Filmmaker Satish Kaushik and producer Suresh will be seen in integral roles in this Ilaiyaraaja musical.
