The moral of Shamitabh‘s story is beautiful, Balki said. “It always takes two to make something happen. It’s impossible for one to achieve anything all alone, and the story emphasizes that it’s important to work together.” Dhanush said that he was waiting to do a good film in Hindi again after Raanjhanaa. “And that’s when Balki phoned. After saying “hello,” he went on to narrate the story to me for hours. I was certainly amazed.”
Speaking about Dhanush’s performance, Balki said that Dhanush would pretend like he was unprepared, but “when I see him perform, I would think that he must have been preparing and rehearsing all night.”
Shamitabh that has Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush, and Akshara Haasan in the lead releases on February 6. PC Sreeram has handled the camera, and Ilaiyaraaja has composed music.
