Actress Trisha tweeted yesterday that the last leg of Thoongaavanam has already begun. As of now, the team is shooting a song which is said to be packed with challenging action sequences.
The shooting of Thoongaavanam, which is currently taking place in a set erected on the East Coast Road, was supposed to be wrapped up by the end of July. Music director Ghibran, in a recent interview, stated that Thoongaavanam is an urban racy movie and its music will have a modern touch to it.
Produced by Raaj Kamal International, Thoongaavanam stars Kamal Haasan and Trisha in the lead, with Prakash Raj, Kishore, Madhu Shalini, Asha Sharath, Sampath Raj, Uma Riyaz Khan and Yugi Sethu in supporting roles. Said to be an official remake of the French film Sleepless Night, Thoongaavanam will be released simultaneously in Telugu as Cheekati Rajyam.
