The science-fiction film, Tik Tik Tik starring Jayam Ravi, has finally got a release date. The film that was initially supposed to have a Pongal release will finally hit the screens on June 22.

Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, the film is labelled as the first space film made in India. Soundar Rajan also brought the zombie genre to Tamil cinema with the release of yet another Jayam Ravi film Miruthan. Bankrolled by V Hitesh Jhabak under the production company Nemichand Jhabak, the film also stars Aaron Aziz and Nivetha Pethuraj.
D Imman handles the music, while Madhan Karky wrote lyrics. The film’s audio tracks were released earlier.
The story starts when an asteroid is about to hit the Earth. Jayam Ravi who is a trained magician is hired to lead a team of astronauts to prevent the disaster. The film’s shooting took place at Chennai’s ECR, where a space shuttle set was erected.
