Actress Trisha Krishnan is the front runner to reprise Kangna Ranaut’s role in the Tamil remake of the Queen. Several actresses, including Nayanthara, Tamannaah Bhatia, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Hansika Motwani, were said to have been considered for the coveted role, but the producers have reportedly zeroed in on Trisha.
Queen, which did very well at the box office this year, has Kangna Ranaut playing a woman who goes on a honeymoon by herself when her wedding gets called off. Actor and producer Thiagarajan has purchased the remake rights for the movie in all the southern languages.
When reached for comment, Trisha’s mother Uma Krishan said that talks were on, but that “nothing was confirmed yet.”
