Actress Trisha will be playing a 20-year old in the upcoming horror film Nayagi, directed by Goverdhan (Govi). According to an IANS report, Trisha has been working on her image to look younger on screen, and has dropped a couple of kilos for the part. The first look posters depicted Trisha in a retro 1980s look, and the director confirmed that this would be her image through the entire movie. A leading make-up artist along with a costume designer to design Trisha’s clothes have been hired.
Most of the film will be shot in Chennai with approximately 40% of the movie canned in Hyderabad. The team is currently on the lookout for a second heroine. Trisha will be singing a three-minute promotional song, out of which a one-minute portion will be used for the title track and the remaining will be a part of the movie.
Nayagi is being produced by Trisha’s manager Giridhar. The supporting cast includes Ganesh Venkatraman, Jayaprakash, Brahmanandam, Satyam Rajesh, and Senrayan.
