Actress Trisha has squashed reports that suggested she would venture into politics by joining Chief Minister J Jayalalitha’s AIADMK party. The rumours had surfaced after she had uploaded a cover picture some time ago, depicting her with Jayalalitha. The rumours died down only to re-surface, with Trisha being questioned on the sets about her supposed decision to join politics. The actress subsequently tweeted:
Contrary to recent reports…NO I am not joining politics.Not now n not in the near future…I rest my case š

Trisha has a number of films in various stages of production, including Kamal Haasan’s Thoongaavanam, Bhogi, a horror comedy with her manager Giridhar, Sundar C’s Aranmanai 2, and Jayam Ravi’s Sakalakalavallavan.
