The Viral Fever’s founder, Arunabh Kumar, will record his statement at the MIDC police station, Mumbai in a few days. Nine women have accused him of sexual assault so far, and a third-party complaint was filed by Supreme Court lawyer, Rizwan Siddiqui on March 16.
A TVF spokesperson, in a statement to Mumbai Mirror, said, “We have also set up an internal inquiry committee and will follow all proceedings as per law.” The spokesperson also added that the post by an anonymous user, Indian Fowler, on medium.com has been taken down on grounds of “violation of policy.”
Efforts to reach out to the women who had complained against the TVF head had been futile. Out of the nine women, five are anonymous.

Senior PI Shailesh Pasalwar of MIDC police station said that no action can be taken until someone comes forward and files an FIR. Until now, there have been no official complaints.
Meanwhile, lawyer Rizwaz Siddiqui has accused the MIDC police of not filing an FIR without a complaint: “The senior inspector of MIDC Police Station has still not registered the FIR despite full knowledge that all FIRs falling under Section 354 (molestation) have to be recorded immediately. This provides sufficient time to tamper with evidence.”
