Two songs from Mohanlal’s Pulimuguran – ‘Kaadanayum Kaalchilambe’ and ‘Maanathe Maarikurumbe’ – find mention among the 70 songs that are competing for nominations to the Best Original Song category for the Oscars next year.
Directed by Vyshak and produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam, Pulimurugan is an action-drama featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. Shot in the backdrop of Kerala’s rainforests, the film’s stunt sequences, choreographed by Peter Hein, were appreciated. The film has been dubbed in Chinese, Vietnamese, Hindi and English as well.
Gopi Sunder, who composed the songs, posted the news on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Academy Award winner AR Rahman congratulated the team of Lake of Fire.
