Sung by Sreekanth Hariharan and Madhura Dhara Talluri ‘Unakkaga Vaazha Nenaikkuren’ from Bigil is an unusual soft romance number for both Rahman and Vijay. The lyrical video of the song with stills featuring Vijay and Nayantara were released yesterday.
Madhura is one of the most interesting singers we found in recent times…versatile with a traditionalist soul. https://t.co/apNPhIwNVq

The lyrics by Vivek are in tune with the kind of really mellow mood the song is going for. It’s an almost minimalist song, there isn’t a lot going on, but whatever instruments are in focus, remain front and center. It’s even softer than the beautiful Needhane from Mersal (that was sung by Rahman and Shreya Ghoshal).
While Needhane had Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhat’s gorgeous Mohan Veena, this one has Punya Srinivas’ stirring veena. Unakkaga also features flute interludes by Kareem Kamalakar and has the Chennai Strings Orchestra conducted by Prabakar.
Directed by Atlee the film will hit the screens for Diwali 2019, though the official date is yet to be announced. Bigil also stars Jackie Shroff, Vivek and Kathir, with G K Vishnu as its DOP. The film is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram’s banner AGS Entertainment.
Please do not speculate on the release date and spread rumours. We can announce it only after Censor and please trust us to find the perfect day that will create new records in the box office ??? Also new poster at 6:00 pm today #Bigil
