After the success of his 2006 Kannada directorial, ‘Rama Bhama Shama,’ Ramesh Aravind and Kamal Hassan join hands yet again for ‘Uthama Villain’. This movie marks the Tamil directorial debut of actor-director Ramesh Arvind, popular for his roles in ‘Duet’ and ‘Keladi Kanmani.’
The movie’s first look poster heavily inspired by the traditional art form Theyyam was released early this week and promptly went viral on various social networking sites. It’s being reported now that the images featured in the poster has been plagiarized from that of a french photographer. Side by side comparisons of the two images do show some startling similarities. We got in touch with the makers of the movie who promptly dismissed the reports as ‘false and without basis’.
Following this furore, a few more posters have been released by the team, one featuring Kamal Hassan in a space age silver suit performing in front of an audience, while the other has a rather pensive looking Kamal writing on a notepad. Needless to say, fans of the star are over the moon. With ‘Vishwaroopam 2,’ ‘Uthama Villain’ and the ‘Dhrishyam’ remake in the offing, Kamal Haasan fans have much to cheer about.
