Ahead of the release of her anthology series, Addham on Aha Video on Thursday, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar said, “Content is the hero of any film”, in an interview to the streaming platform.
“I agree that the theatre experience is different. But when you’re watching at home, the content is the same – the stories do not change. At this particular time everyone wants good content – there’s nothing else they want. It doesn’t matter if this is on OTT, on TV or in theatre,” Sarathkumar added while speaking about the film’s direct release on OTT.
When asked about filming during a pandemic, Sarathkumar said, “It was a very dicey time because Corona was going on. Cases were on the rise, it was not exactly a flattening curve but having said that, I was extremely impressed, first of all, with the way things were handled, the way the sanitisation process was handled. Everything was clean. Even the pen being used in a shot would be immediately sanitised. I wished we would probably end up having more shoot than we actually did. When you end up having fun on set, you always want to shoot more over there.”
Speaking about her character in the film, she said “She is a very seedha saadha girl who wants to believe that there is still good in the world and believe there is a right and wrong in the world.”
