Varun Dhawan and filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, who last collaborated for 2017’s hit drama Badrinath Ki Dulhania, are all set to collaborate again for Rannbhoomi. This film will be produced by Karan Johar, bankrolled by his banner Dharma Productions.

This film is speculated to be a huge war drama, set for a Diwali 2020 release.

Shashank and Varun make an epic blend of creative and commercial extravaganza and that is exactly what Dharma Productions’ vision for the coming few projects is. Very excited to bring them together again for this Diwali 2020 epic tale,” Karan Johar said in a statement.
Khaitan has had this story with him since 2015 and expressed his happiness at finally being able to work on it for the big screen.

This isn’t the first time Khaitan and Johar’s Dharma Productions are collaborating for a project. The two had earlier worked for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and are working for Dhadak, the Hindi remake of the Marathi film Sairat.
