Varun Dhawan has reportedly signed Dangal director Nitin Tiwari’s next. The project will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. According to a DNA report, the film will be an action drama and will go on floors at the end of this year.
News that Dhawan and Tiwari would collaborate for a film was first reported by PTI News in February this year. In the report, Tiwari said that he feels ‘responsible’ when it comes to delivering films to the audience. He also added that he couldn’t speak about the project until further notice.

In recent times, Nadiadwala produced some of Bollywood’s big-budgeted films such as Rangoon. He is also the producer for Dhawan’s upcoming film Judwaa 2 starring Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez; and also has Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 in the pipeline. Reports indicate that Nadiadwala is likely to direct the sequel of Salman Khan’s 2014 film Kick.
Meanwhile, Dhawan is currently filming for the modern version of Salman Khan’s 90s film Judwaa. The actor might also play Indian footballer Dhyan Chand in the biopic directed by Shoojit Sircar.
