Hindi film October‘s first look is out, giving us a very forlorn looking Varun Dhawan resting on grass. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film is said to be an ‘unusual love story’. Reportedly inspired by true events, October marks the first ever collaboration between Dhawan and Sircar.

The film went on floors in October last year and will feature newcomer Banita Sandhu as the female lead. On Valentine’s Day, the film’s team had shared a video, giving viewers a peek into the film.
While there hasn’t been much about the story, Dhawan will be giving a more sombre performance in this, contrary to his last release, Judwaa 2.
“A couple of scenes with Varun required extensive emotional outbursts. It was a performance that needed him to appear quite exhausted. People needed to see depth in his overall demeanor, coupled with a tired voice. So, I asked him to not sleep at night prior to shooting such scenes,” said Sircar.
Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, the film is slated for an April 13 release.
