Chennai-based industrialist Varun Manian and actress Trisha Krishnan are getting engaged today in a private ceremony at Chennai. As an engagement gift to Trisha, Varun Manian will pay for the care of animals housed by an NGO called the Chennai Adoption Drive (CAD) for a year.
Trisha, an animal welfare activist, has been active in several animal welfare campaigns over the last few years.
Varun and Trisha will host a post-engagement theme party for their friends in the film industry tomorrow. Celebrities including Ramya Krishnan, Jiiva and Siddharth are expected to attend.
