A complaint was filed against actor Vicky Kaushal by a resident of Indore, alleging that the latter’s two-wheeler registration number was used in the shoot of a movie sequence. However, Indore police said on Sunday that the vehicle that the actor was seen riding belonged to the production house, and the confusion was created because of a bolt on the license plate.
The complainant, Jai Singh Yadav, had claimed that his vehicle number plate was illegally used by the actor, without his permission, in the movie sequence.
“Vehicle number used in the movie sequence is mine; don’t know if the film unit is aware of it. This is illegal. He cannot use my number plate without permission. I have filed a complaint with the police. Action should be taken in the matter,” Yadav had told ANI.

After receiving the complaint, police went to the sets of the film for investigation and found that the registration number used in the movie was different from Yadav’s. “During the investigation of the number plate, we found out that all misunderstanding was caused by the bolt fixed on the license plate. Due to that bolt, the number one looks like the number four. The license plate used in the movie sequence belongs to the production. Hence, nothing illegal was found in our investigation,” Rajendra Soni, Sub-inspector, Bangangam, told the publication.
Harsh Dave, associated with the film’s production, confirmed the same. He noted that the vehicle’s number was ‘1872’ but the bolt that was used to fix the plate, made it look like the number was ‘4172’. This caused the confusion and led to Yadhav’s accusation.
Meanwhile, several pictures of Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan surfaced on social media, after the actors were spotted on the streets of Indore shooting for their upcoming film. While it is as yet unknown what film the actors have been shooting for, reports suggest that it is an untitled romantic comedy directed by Laxman Utekar.
