Vijay Antony Signs Tamil-Telugu Film With Sarathkumar’s I Pictures

Following back to back hits with Pichaikaran and Saithan, Vijay Antony has now signed a dual language project with debutant director Seenu Vasan. 41-year old Anthony said the project was close to his heart as R Sarath Kumar and Radhikaa Sarath Kumar’s I Pictures would be producing it. Seenu Vasan has written the script.

Antony, who was formerly a music director, began his career on the campus of Radaan TV. Describing the film as a sort of homecoming for him, he said, “As a principle I am never in a hurry to sign a film. Signing a film is not just an indication of growth in my economical status. It is an indication of  growth in human values too. The success that I have had today has many reasons and one of the most important among them are Radhika Madam and Sharath Sir.”

He also acknowledged the rising popularity of Telugu language films. He said, “Making a dual language film by no means is a easy job. Considering the growing  clout of films that release across the states of Tamilnadu/Andhra /Telangana simultaneously, I am particular and clear in not compromising on quality.” Both Pichaikaran and Saithan did well at the Telugu box-office with Pichaikaran in particular having double and triple collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Shooting for the film is scheduled to begin in February.
