Trailer of Vijay Antony’s Annadurai was released last evening. Director of the film, Srinivasan says that the film has an important social message behind an emotional drama and it is evident in the trailer.
Talking about the film, Srinivasan tells Silverscreen, “This is a story of twin brothers, Annadurai and Thambidurai. According to the script, Annadurai is a very nice man but an alcoholic. I have handled the social issue surrounding alcohol addiction via this character. While Annadurai is rugged, Thambidurai is a PT master in the film.”
He adds, “At the beginning of every film, we see a card saying, ‘consumption of alcohol is injurious to health’. We have not taken it seriously, but this film will just not have that card, the film itself is about it and has an emotional appeal.”
Annadurai has Diana and Mahima as female leads and Radharavi and Kaali Venkat in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release this December. The Telugu version of this film, Indrasena, will also hit the screens this year end. The entire team of Annadurai is currently in Hyderabad for the press meet of Indrasena.
