Director and cinematographer Vijay Milton has confirmed that there will be a Goli Soda 1.5 in the future but there are no concrete plans for it yet. Speaking to Silverscreen, he said, “It’s just an idea I have for now. It isn’t my next project.”
Milton is currently waiting for the release of the film’s sequel – Goli Soda 2 (GST) . Four years after the release of Goli Soda, Milton revived the sequel to this film last year. The original film, which had dialogues written by director Pandiraj, was about a group of teenagers, who start an eatery in their area, aiming to making it big. The film was a super hit, and was critically acclaimed as well.
A multi-starrer, GST has Samuthirakani in a major role as a suspended constable. Gautham Vasudev Menon, too, is doing a cameo. The film’s main cast includes Chemban Vinod Jose, Rohini and Subiksha, Krisha Kurup, and Milton’s younger brother Bharath Seeni. The film, by the looks of its trailer, will revolve around sports this time.
The film, with music by Achu Rajamani, is slated for an April release.
