Actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in a cameo role in Vishnu Vishal’s next film, Kathanagayan. Vishnu shared pictures from the sets of the film and thanked the Kavan actor.

Talking about this cameo, Vishnu Vishal told Silverscreen, “Though it is just a guest role, his scenes are the two most important ones in the film. Even though it’s a guest role, he put in so much effort and involvement in it, gave in many inputs too. Moreover, Vijay Sethupathi and I have a bond that dates back to my first film Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu. He’s a very good friend of mine, who genuinely wishes well for me. He even suggests me scripts which he thinks will suit me. So it was great to work with him again for this film.”
The actor added that he owes a lot to his friends from the industry. “They have always stood by me, whether it is guest roles, or releasing my trailers and teasers, to even producing my film.”

This is not the first time that Vijay Sethupathi has had cameo roles in films. In 2014, he made special appearances in films like Jigarthanda, Kathai Thirakadhai Vasanam Iyakkam and Thirudan Police. Sethupathi was also the voice of the narrator in the film Vaaimai, and in the trailer of Andaava Kaanom, released recently.
The talkie portions of Kathanayagan will be wrapped up today, following which a song between Vishnu and lead actress Catherine will be shot. Sean Roldan is the music composer for the film. Muruganandham, known for his roles in Kaashmora and Idharku Thaane Aasaipattai Balakumara, is the director of this film. The film, produced by Vishnu Vishal, is expected to release in summer 2017.
