Actor Vijay Sethupathi’s 96, in which Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead, went on floors yesterday. And, according to a report, the 37-year-old actor will be briefly seen in the role of a school boy in the movie.
“The title refers to the year of a school batch. I wasn’t sure if Trisha would work with me but she liked the script so much, she came on board,” he quipped.
The movie will be helmed by Prem Kumar and is a love story that unfolds in class 12.
Vijay Sethupathi is said to have known the director for a long time, and calls him a “sensible film-maker.” The actor is also preparing for the release of Vikram Vedha which will see him teaming up with R Madhavan for the first time.
