With Vaalu gearing up for release on August 14, following the withdrawal of all cases against the film, we learn from a source close to Silambarasan that actor Vijay lent his support to ensure that Vaalu had a release without further hassles.

Apparently, Vijay spoke to a few distributors including Cosmo Siva, who regularly distributes Vijay’s films in Coimbatore area and requested support for Vaalu. It must be noted that Simbu was one of the first actors to come out in support of Thalaivaa, when the film faced release issues in 2013.
The release date will most likely be confirmed on Wednesday by Silambarasan. Vaalu, directed by debutant director Vijay Chander, stars Simbu, Hansika and Santhanam. Produced by SS Chakravarthy’s Nic Arts, Vaalu has music composed by Thaman.
