Vijay, Whose Wife Poisoned Their Children, Offered A Post In Rajini Makkal Mandram

Rajinikanth recently met Vijay, whose wife, Abirami poisoned their two children, in order to elope with her boyfriend.

After hearing about the gruesome incident, Rajinikanth invited Vijay to his Poes Garden residence. The actor-aspiring politician spent time with him and consoled him. Later, Rajini Makkal Mandram’s administrator VM Sudhakar announced that Vijay has been appointed as the co-secretary of youth wing of the organisation in Kundrathur constituency.

Abirami, a 25-year-old woman, lived with Vijay and their two children, aged seven and four, in Moondramkattalai, near Kundrathur. They have been married for eight years. She wanted to get married to her boyfriend Sundaram, who she met at a biryani shop where he worked. She plotted to kill the children and Vijay as she saw them as a hindrance to her marriage with Sundaram.

On Friday, Vijay, who works in a private bank, returned home late. He found his children frothing from their mouths and his wife missing. The children were immediately taken to the hospital where they were declared dead on arrival. A case has been registered with the Kundrathur police.

According to The Hindu, Abirami had planned to kill her husband as well. When Vijay did not return home on time, she poisoned her children and absconded. “After poisoning the children, the woman tried to suffocate them to death,” a police officer told The Hindu.

After committing the crime, Abirami disposed off her SIM card and left for Nagercoil, from where she and Sundaram had planned to go to Kerala. Unaware that Sundaram was taken into police custody, she contacted him using a traffic constable’s phone. The cops made Sundaram convince her to return to Chennai. The police nabbed her at Koyambedu bus terminus.

This is not the first time that Rajinikanth has come to the aid of his fans. Earlier, the actor had announced to take care of the medical expenses of a fan, Kasi Viswanathan, who had lost his legs in an accident while returning home from the Kaala audio launch.
