Actress Vijayalakhmi, popular for her roles in films like Chennai 600028 and Anjathey, is making a comeback with the sequel of Chennai 600028, directed by Venkat Prabhu. She was last seen playing the lead Aadama Jeichomada (2014) Last year, she had announced her retirement from films after her marriage. She is also producing actor’s Kreshna’s Pandigai, which is currently under production.
According to reports, Venkat Prabhu has chosen to retain the actors who were part of the first installment of the film, namely Jai, Premgi, Vijayalakshmi, and Nithin Sathya, among others. Vijayalakshmi’s character in the sequel will be similar to her original role. Shooting of the film is expected to begin in May.
