D Imman has finished recording the first track for the untitled director Ezhil project starring Kumki actor Vikram Prabhu. Singer Sathyaprakash Dharmar, the voice behind the lilting Yaar Ezhudhiyadho from Thegidi, has lent his voice to this song as well. While not much is known about the track officially, sources tell us that the whole album will have a rustic feel to it.
Vikram Prabhu plays a villager who dreams of making it big in real estate but is forced by family circumstances to join a light music troop. Sri Divya plays his love interest. MS Bhaskar as the hero’s dad and Comedian Soori in his usual role of the wisecracking friend round out the rest of the cast. The project went on the floors last month after a simple pooja at the residence of Vikram Prabhu.
