Actor Vikram, at the Chennai Micro volunteers meet on Sunday, said that he would make a music video to showcase how Chennai volunteers stepped up and helped fellow Chennaiites during the floods.
“I was helpless during the floods. But it was inspiring to see many volunteers putting their own lives at risk to save people. I felt proud of them, and I teamed up with music director Giri to work on a video dedicated to those nameless people.”

Apparently, Giri composed a song overnight, and 25 singers expressed interest to be a part of the song, which has been titled Spirit of Chennai. Singers Chinmayi, Shakthishree Gopalan have lent their voices to the song. Several actors will also be a part of this video.
Vikram added that Siddharth and RJ Balaji, the people who anchored the relief works, were too busy when he had called them to be a part of this video. According to Vikram, Siddharth will sing a portion of the song, and RJ Balaji will appear in the video.
