The spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen that Vishal is likely to produce the sequel too, and the project will go on floors from November after the Sundar C directorial is complete.
Thupparivalan starred Vishal as a detective, with Vinay playing the villain, and Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel, Andrea Jeremiah in important roles. The story was about the detective who traces clues to several cases while helping a young boy find the murderer of his dog. The film and its hero was loosely inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective character Sherlock Holmes. He was given the credits in the opening of the film.
The music for the film was by Arrol Carroli, and the makers avoided including multiple songs in the film. The only song featured was ‘Ivan Thupparivaalan’ written by Mysskin, who sang along with Hemambiga. The project was launched in March 2016, and released in September 2017.
