Actor Vishal Krishna’s comments on the Tamil Film Producers Council to a Tamil magazine last year saw his removal from the council as a member. The Kathhi Sandai actor approached the court, which led to the council demanding an apology from the actor. The council said the decision would revoked once he apologises.

The 39-year-old actor who is also the Nadagir Sangam’s secretary has issued an apology. “I state that I had only expressed my personal views, maybe in a slightly strong manner but without any ulterior motive or intention to hurt anyone or create any controversy and ill-will. In fact, in the same interview itself, I have clarified that I have nothing personal against any of the elected office-bearers but still some of the individuals feel that I have made a personal attack,” his statement said.
The affidavit filed in the court by the actor was to avoid further confrontation and he added that he wanted to maintain better relationships between various interlinked associations in the Tamil film industry. The actor has requested his temporary suspension be revoked and normal membership to be restored.
