After coming in her first Hollywood film Baywatch, Priyanka Chopra’s next film, A Kid like Jake has already started creating a lot of buzz.
It deals with the issue of raising a gender variant kid. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January in this year.
Based on Daniel Pearle’s play and directed by Silas Howard, the film revolves around New York parents, played by Claire Danes and Jim Parsons, whose four-year-old son prefers wearing skirts and is more interested in Cinderella than G.I Joe. The film also stars Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer as the head of the school in which their son Jake studies.
Priyanka plays the role of Amal, a friend of the couple. The film also stars Amy Landecker, and Ann Dowd.
