Actor Vishal, the general secretary of Nadigar Sangam, in a recent press meet, stated that the Sangam wasn’t responsible for the ongoing Beep Song controversy.
“Nasser sir and Ponvannan sir spoke to T Rajendar, and Karthi and myself spoke to STR regarding this controversy. Whether the song has leaked or not, is not the issue right now. Since, the song has hurt the sentiments of hundreds of people, we requested STR to apologise to them. We told him that the Sangam would chip in to help him after he made his apology. However, STR and T Rajendar said that they would face the issue legally. We are ready to help them to come out of this issue”, said Vishal. “STR is like my (Nasser) son and a brother to Vishal. We want them to come out of this issue whole heartedly”, said Nasser, the incumbent president of the Sangam.
Earlier, actress Radhika had pointed out that Nadigar Sangam was remaining silent on the Beep Song controversy. Vishal, at the press meet, said that they would send out a show cause notice to Radhika..
Actor Karthi, the current treasurer of Nadigar Sangam, said that Sarath Kumar, former president of Sangam, hasn’t yet submitted Sangam’s accounts for the past 2 years. “When contacted, Sarath Kumar said that their auditor was out of country. The last reminder will be sent out to R Sarathkumar in the coming days, and after that we would file a case against him for not submitting the accounts”, said Karthi.
In reply to the Nadigam Sangam’s accusation, Radhika tweeted,
