As the weekend gradually inches closer, a brand new list of films and shows will be arriving on OTT platforms this week.
A dark comedy anthology Hindi film, a Tamil biopic of founder of India’s first low-cost airlines Captain GR Gopinath and a film about two teens who pass a notebook back and forth around New York city during Christmas- here is list of all the titles that will start streaming from this week.
1. Soorarai Pottru – Amazon Prime Video (November 12)
Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya and Aparna Balamurali, is about the life of Captain GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan, India’s first low-cost airlines. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film takes inspiration from the events and struggles faced by Gopinath.
2. Ludo – Netflix (November 12)
Ludo is a dark comedy anthology film directed by Anurag Basu. The four separate stories, starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Maaney and Inayat Verma in pivotal roles, are interwoven and culminate into a common climax.
3. Gatham – Amazon Prime Video (November 6)
Gatham is a Telugu film directed by Kiran Reddy. The movie, starring Bhargava Poludasu, Rakesh Galebhe and Poojitha Kuraparthi, was created by a group of young IT professionals based in the US. The film, shot entirely abroad, is based on a short film the director had previously worked on.
4. Mum Bhai – Zee5 (November 6)
Starring Angad Bedi, Sandeepa Dhar, Sikandar Kher, and Sunny Hinduja, Mum Bhai is an action crime drama series set in the 1980s when Mumbai was ruled by the underworld. Bhaskar is a maverick cop rises to power and joins hand with don Rama.
5. Welcome Home – Sony Liv (November 6)
Welcome Home is a Hindi psychological drama film, starring Tina Bhatiya, Kashmira Irani, Shashi Bhushan, and Boloram Das in pivotal roles. The film, touted to be a psychological drama, is about a pregnant woman living in a house.
6. Ferro – Amazon Prime Video (November 6)
Ferro is a show about the Grammy Award-winning Italian singer Tiziano Ferro. The show takes the audience through the singer’s life after he reaches the age of 40, described as a new and important chapter in his life.
7. Citation – Netflix (November 6)
This Netflix original is based on real life events. A student in Nigeria takes on the academic establishment when she reports a popular professor who tried to rape her.
8. Laxmii – Disney+ Hotstar (November 9)
Laxmii is a Hindi horror comedy film written and directed by Raghava Lawrence. Starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, the movie is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film Kanchana.
9. Dash & Lily – Netflix (November 10)
This teen show is about two opposites – cynical Dash and sunny Lily. The two trade messages and dares in a red notebook they pass back and forth around New York city on Christmas Day.
10. Aashram Chapter 2 – MX Player (November 11)
Starring Bobby Deol and Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aashram Chapter 2 revolves around the corruption and crime that happens under the guise of faith.
