What’s New to Watch? 10 Films and Shows Releasing on OTTs this Week

With the weekend around the corner, a bunch of films and shows are set to release on OTT platforms this week, from October 29 to November 5. Here is the list:

Bheemasena Nalamaharaja – Amazon Prime (October 29)

Bheemasena Nalamaharaja is a Kannada film directed by Karthik Saragur. The film follows the life of a cook on his journey of love, loss, and friendship.

 

Kaali Khuhi – Netflix (October 30)

Kaali Khuhi is directed by Terrie Samundra and is a story about 10-year-old Shivangi who has to save her village in Punjab from the ghosts of its past. The film stars Shabana Azmi and Riva Arora.

 

The Mandalorian Season 2 – Disney+ Hotstar (October 30)

Disney+ Hotstar is back with Baby Yoda and is set to stream the second season of the popular Star Wars show The Mandalorian. The show is directed by Jon Favreau and is about Mando, a lone bounty hunter as he travels around the galaxy to get Baby Yoda back to his home.

 

His House – Netflix (October 30)

His House is a horror film directed by Remi Weekes. The film is about a young couple from South Sudan who seek asylum in England. However, their new home is far from a fresh start as a sinister force starts threatening their new-found happiness.

 

Truth Seekers – Amazon Prime (October 30) 

This series is about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who use homemade gadgets to track ghosts and share their adventures online. Along with their paranormal adventures, they soon begin to uncover a huge conspiracy that could invite an apocalypse.

 

Ek Jhoothi Love Story – Zee5 (October 30)

Starring Bilal Abbas Khan, Madiha Imam, Kiran Haq, and Hina Bayaat, Ek Jhoothi Love Story is about the lives of Salma and Sohail. The two, in their quest to find the perfect life partner, create fake profiles under pseudonyms Natalia and Nofil.

 

Miss India – Netflix (November 4)

Miss India, starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead, is a Telugu drama film which follows the story of Samyukhta Manasa, an aspiring entrepreneur, and her journey to sell chai overseas.

 

Love & Anarchy – Netflix (November 4)

This Scandinavian series is about a married consultant and a young IT techie who get into a flirtatious game that challenges societal norms. Love & Anarchy will be Netflix’s second Swedish show after Quicksand.

 

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run – Netflix (November 5)

After his pet snail Gary gets kidnapped, Spongebob and Patrick travel to Atlantic City to solve the mystery. They soon realise that nothing is stronger than the power of friendship. The film also features Keanu Reaves as a sage made of sage.

 

Operation Christmas Drop – Netflix (November 5)

Bringing Christmas a little early, this film features a political aide who falls in love with a big-hearted Air Force pilot while looking to shut down his tropical base and its airborne Christmas tradition.
