Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal and Shankar’s I will both release see releases around Pongal 2015. The dates were officially announced this week, ending months of speculation. Sources associated with Yennai Arindhaal tell Silverscreen that the Ajith – Gautham Menon film is likely to hit the screens on January 8, because producer AM Rathnam prefers to release his films on Thursdays. Vikram’s I will release on Pongal day – January 15.
Vishal’s Aambala, Karthi’s Komban and Vikram’s film with SD Vijay Milton – 10 Enradhukulla are all tentatively scheduled for the Pongal holiday. Industry experts tell us that Komban and 10 Enradhukulla will likely be postponed.
Yennai Arindhaal is the most awaited Ajith film in recent times as it marks the coming together of Gautham Menon and Ajith. Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty essay lead roles, while Harris Jayaraj handles the music. A teaser for the film is expected to release on November 27 while audio will hit the stores on December 8. I was originally slated for a Deepavali release, but production delays have pushed out its release.
