Kollywood’s comic stars Yogi Babu and Karunakaran have joined hands for the second time for a dark comedy sci-fi thriller titled Trip to be directed by debutant Dennis. He was a former associate of Sam Anton in movies like Darling and 100.
The story reportedly revolves around two men (played by Karunakaran and Yogi Babu), who plan an adventurous trip to a destination and face unexpected events when they come across a bunch of 5 boys and 4 girls, who are supposedly on a trip too. “Trip is a travel-based film that has a blend of dark comedy, sci-Fi and thriller,” says director Dennis.
“While working on 100, Yogi Babu got to know about me and asked me to meet him after I am done with the script. Moreover, both of them have a special ability to evoke humour irrespective of what the genre or story premise is,” Dennis said in a press statement.
Produced under the banner, Sai Film Studios by Viswanathan and Praveen, the movie has Sunaina, Praveen Kumar of 100 fame and a few others on board. Siddhu Kumar, Sivappu Manjal Pachai’s music director is composing music for this film. Udhay Shankar will world the camera.
The shooting of Trip commences on September 16. The entire shooting will be completed in a single schedule 0f 40 days in Talakona followed by Kodaikanal and Chennai.
