Yuvan Shankar Raja has officially been roped in as the music composer for Tamil film Balloon. Directed by debutant Sinish Sreedharan, starring Jai and Anjali in the lead, Balloon is said to be a horror film. This is the second time Jai and Anjali are pairing up.
The music director had taken to Twitter yesterday confirming his association with the film.

The director confirmed with Silverscreen that Yuvan Shankar Raja – who was his first choice since the beginning – is the music director. He said that the film would begin its second schedule soon. The team will start composing from next week and this album will have four songs, one of which will be a promo song. The film is slated to wrap up its shoot by October this year.
Sinish had earlier said that the film is not just another run of the mill horror film. “The screenplay of the film will have the same formula as successful horror films of the past, but the plot of the film is completely different,” he insisted. Balloon is being produced by TN Arun Balaji and Kandasamy Nandhakumar of 70 MM Films, along with stunt choreographer-turned-actor Dhilip Subbarayan of Farmer’s Master Plan Production. The technical crew includes cinematographer R Saravanan, editor Ruben, stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan, dance choreographer Sherif, costume designer NJ Sathya, and art director Shakthi Venkataraj.
