An article in a Tamil daily says that Aishwarya Rajesh has been roped in to play an important role in the film. She, however, will not star opposite GVP, but will be playing his sister. There has been no confirmation about the role from the makers or the actress.

The music for the movie will be composed by 96-fame Govind Vasantha.

According to a source: “The film has its dialogues co-written by Mani Ratnam and will go on floors soon. The story was originally planned to be a Mani Ratnam directorial. However, he couldn’t take it up due to his commitments because of Ponniyin Selvan. The story of his production venture is a unique script that will cater to the audience across sections.”

Following the success of Kanaa, Aishwarya Rajesh has several films lined up. She has Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram, a spy thriller directed by Gautham Menon, and Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai directed by Rathindran R Prasad.

She also has the much delayed Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Idam Porul Yaeval directed by Seenu Ramasamy. Gopi Nainar and Jai play the leads in the film along with the actress. Her other projects are director Kranthi Madhav’s next with Vijay Deverakonda, Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai 2, and an untitled film by Sundaram Productions.
