Cinematographer Ashok Kumar passed away on October 22. While talking to The Times of India, Ashok Kumar’s wife, Jyoti Aggarwal revealed that other than editor Lenin and Ravichandran (an SICA member), nobody from the film industry paid homage to the late cinematographer. She said that a lot of artistes and technicians used to visit them when Ashok Kumar was busy with projects. “But when he left, nobody came. We felt very lonely,” she said. Ashok Kumar’s son added that their family and close friends provided support.
On Twitter too, there weren’t many posts about Ashok Kumar. PC Sreeram was one among the few to pay respects online.
