The 63rd Britannia Filmfare award held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre on June 18, had it all: celebrities and celebration, fun and frolic, glitz and glamour. With emotions and excitement running high, the night saw many stars getting due credit for their efforts. Here is a round-up of all the winners of the night.
The critics’ jury award for ‘Best Actor – Male’ was given to Jayam Ravi for Thani Oruvan (Tamil), Jayasurya for Su Sudhi Vatmeekam (Malayalam), Nani for Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (Telugu) and Sanchari Vijay for Nanu Avanalla Avalu(Kannada). ‘Best Actor – Female’ was given to Jyothika – who made a comeback after eight years – for 36 Vayadhinile (Tamil), Amala Paul for Mili (Malayalam), Nithya Menon for Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju (Telugu) and Rachitha Ram for Ranna (Kannada).

The ‘Best Actor – Male’ was awarded to Vikram for I (Tamil), Mammooty for Pathemari (Malayalam), Mahesh Babu for Srimanthudu (Telugu) and Puneeth Kumar for Ranavikrama(Kannada). The ‘Best Actor – Female’ went to Nayantara for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (Tamil), Parvathy for Ennu Ninte Moideen (Malayalam), Anushka Shetty for Rudhramadevi (Telugu) and Parul Yadav for Aatagaara (Kannada).
The ‘Best Debut Actor’ was awarded to G.V.Prakash for Darling (Tamil), Sai Pallavi for Premam (Malayalam), Akhil Akkineni for Akhil (Telugu), and Pragya Jaiswal for Kanche (Telugu).

The ‘Best Film’ was awarded to Kakka Muttai (Tamil), Pathemari (Malayalam), Baahubali (Telugu), and Rangitharanga (Kannada). The ‘Best Director’ award went to M.Raja for Thani Oruvan (Tamil), R.S.Vimal for Ennu Ninte Moideen (Malayalam), S.S.Rajamouli for Baahubali (Telugu), and Anup Bhandary for Rangitharanga (Kannada).
The ‘Best Playback Singer – Female’ award went to Shweta Mohan for Enna Sola (Tamil), Shreya Ghoshal for Kathirunnu Kathirunnu (Malayalam), Geetha Madhuri for Jeevandhi (Telugu), and Inchara Rao for Kareyole (Kannada). The ‘Best Playback Singer – Male’ went to Sid Sriram for Ennodu Nee Irundhal (Tamil), Vijay Yesudas for Malare Ninne (Malayalam), M.L.R Karthikeyan for Pora Srimanthudu (Telugu), and Santhosh Venky for Raja Raniyenthe (Kannada). The ‘Best Music’ award went to A. R. Rahman for I (Tamil), M. Jayachandran for Ennu Ninte Moideen (Malayalam), Devi Sri Prasad for Srimanthudu (Telugu), and Sridhar V. Sambhram for Krishna Leela (Kannada).

The award for ‘Best Supporting Actor – Male’ went to Arvind Swami for Thani Oruvan (Tamil), Tovino Thomas for Ennu Ninte Moideen (Malayalam), Allu Arjun for Rudramadevi (Telugu), and Saikumar for Rangitharanga (Kannada). The ‘Best Supporting Actor – Female’ went to Radhika Sarathkumar for Thanga Magan (Tamil), Lena for Ennu Ninte Moideen (Malayalam), Ramya Krishnan for Baahubali (Telugu), and Sudharani for Vastuprakara (Kannada).
