Award-winning Indian actress Asin Thottumkal married her partner, Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma, this Tuesday in New Delhi. A Catholic wedding was held in the morning followed by Hindu ceremonies. The Ghajini (2005) star had been engaged to Rahul Sharma since last year. Housefull 2 and Khiladi 786 co-star Akshay Kumar was present at both events. Reportedly, he had first introduced the couple to each other. Delhi-based music group Elohim Worship performed at the morning event. Subsequent events include a get-together this week, and a reception in Mumbai. Only close family and friends were invited to both ceremonies.
Asin’s debut film Ghajni, where she acted opposite Aamir Khan. She is currently shooting for Umesh Shukla’s romantic comedy All Is Well. Since the age of 15, she has acted in multiple language films, and won three Filmfare awards. Rahul Sharma, a University of Saskatchewan graduate, co-founded Micromax Informatics, currently the world’s 10th largest smartphone vendor.
