The curtain raiser of the Chepauk Super Gillies team was a glamourous affair with actresses turning up in their best outfits, seemingly determined to make fashion statements. Hansika Motwani arrived wearing a sky-blue jumpsuit by Suman B, styled by Eesha Amiin. Raai Laxmi kept it simple in a white dress with retro styled hair. Aishwarya Rajesh chose to turn up in a powder grey outfit. Samantha Ruth Prabhu went for a chic look with a Koesch suit and Stuart Weitzman shoes. Samantha, along with cricketers Irfan Pathan, Ashish Nehra and Mohamed Azharuddin unveiled the team’s jerseys.
Samantha also posed with the team at the end, doing the trademark ‘Shaka’ hand gesture which the team has adopted. Premgi Amaren will be happy!
