On World Cancer Awareness Day, the Padesaave team, along with the Vimala Foundation organised a T2S and Hetero Cancer Awareness event at the Park Sheraton hotel in Hyderabad. Actress Nithya Shetty, actor Karthik and Kumari 21F heroine Hebah Patel attended the event. Speaking at the event, Nithya Shetty said, “Dr Srikanth Garu, who runs Vimala Foundation, is the man behind this initiative. Before coming to this event, I didn’t know much about the disease. I was one of those people who think that cancer is the end of life. But, after listening to the speeches of these cancer survivors, I have realised that it is not the end of the world and we can overcome it, survive and live a happy life.”
