Actress and former Miss Universe Sri Lanka (2006) was felicitated for her contribution to Indian Cinema at the 13th International Commerce and Management Conference at the Mumbai University this week. The two-day conference was held on the 14th and 15th of January, and focused on the theme of ‘New Paradigms In Restructuring Of Business Management Strategies’. Speaking to the media after the Conference, Fernandez said she felt blessed because despite coming from a foreign country, she had found a lot of acceptance among Indian audiences. Saying she had been invited to felicitate the awardees, she was surprised when at the end, she was given an award for her achievements as well. She thanked the University for giving her such a prestigious award.
