Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar launched the second teaser of their upcoming Hindi movie “Wazir” in a Mumbhai theater on June 3, 2015. The first teaser had been previously released during the screening of Aamir Khan’s “PK”.
Wazir, which means ‘minister, also refers to an unorthodox chess piece that was used in early variants of chess.
By itself, the Wazir is too weak a piece to be of much interest, but its power can be combined with the powers of other pieces to make new and interesting ones. By itself, it is worth little more than a Pawn, but in combination with other pieces it is worth half a Knight, more or less. [Link]
The teaser provides glimpses of a disabled Amitabh playing chess with Farhan Akhtar, who presumably plays a cop. Farhan’s character is also heard promising to not let anything bad happen to Amitabh. This is where we put our thinking caps on, and make the grand assumption that Amitabh is the Wazir in question, combining forces with Farhan Akhtar, to wreak havoc on the evil Neil Nitin Mukesh character shown in the teaser. Incidentally, Neil also plays a disabled character in the movie.
Wazir, which also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The movie was originally slated for release on October 2, 2015, but has now been pushed to December 2015.
