Aryan Khan has reportedly started work on the web series he is writing and directing for his father Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment banner.
The young filmmaker apparently carried out a test shoot for the project, over the weekend, at a studio in Mumbai. While this test shoot took place on Friday and Saturday, the dates for the actual shooting of the series are yet to be decided. An official announcement on the project is also yet to be made.
A source told Pinkvilla, “Aryan wanted to bring everyone together to understand the project, before they started shooting for it, as a part of prep for him and the crew. He is very passionate about this (yet-to-be-titled) show, and has already begun work on the pre-production. They will finalise the actual shooting dates soon.”
Aryan Khan is also said to be working on a feature film for Red Chillies.
Earlier, in an interview with DNA, Shah Rukh Khan had spoken about his son’s ambition of becoming a filmmaker and also revealed that his daughter Suhana Khan intends to become an actor. “He’s writing, directing and has been learning stuff for four years. Becoming a filmmaker is one of the highest levels of studies at the University of Southern California. My daughter wants to act. She also has to attend a four-year course in theatre. I think both of them should study.”
Suhana Khan is reportedly set to make her acting debut with filmmaker Zoya Akhtar’s web series based on the Archie comics.

Aryan Khan made the headlines last year after he was arrested in October by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) following a drug bust aboard a cruise ship. His bail was rejected multiple times as the agency claimed that he had played a role in the illicit procurement and consumption of drugs. The NCB had also alleged that Aryan Khan was part of a larger conspiracy and was in contact with an international drug network.
However, he was eventually granted bail in November, though still required to make weekly appearances before the NCB. In December, the Bombay High Court relaxed Aryan Khan’s bail conditions and ruled that he need not appear before the NCB every Friday.
Two months later, in February, it was reported that Aryan Khan was working on potential ideas for a web series and a feature film for Red Chillies, with Bilal Siddiqi as his co-writer on the projects.
