The web series will be based on the book Chhinnomostar Obhishaap (The Curse of the Goddess). It will feature Tota Roy Chowdhury as the young detective Feluda or Prodosh Chandra Mitter, Kalpan Mitra as Topshe or Tapesh Ranjan Mitter, and Anirban Chakrabarti as Lalmohon Ganguli or Jatayu.
In the story, Feluda and team visit Hazaribagh, in Jharkhand, and get invited by a puzzle-loving, retired advocate to his birthday party. The advocate soon dies but not before giving cryptic clues to Feluda.
In September, Roy Chowdhury posted a photo of Mukherji, along with Mitra and Chakrabarti during a script reading session.

National Award-winning director Mukherji had released the title song of series in May. Sung by Rupankar Bagchi, Rupam Islam and Anupam Roy, the titled song was composed by Joy Sarkar and lyrics were penned by Srijato. Given the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdown, the song was recorded, mixed, and produced by the musicians within the confinement of their homes.
Releasing the song, Mukherji had written:
“He was my first hero. My refuge. And my growing up years. As the Maestro enters his 100th year, this is a tribute to the Man and his creator. A song made from our individual homes, with the indomitable spirit Mr Mitter inspires in all of us.”

Written by Satyajit Ray, the Feluda series is a detective series comprising over 30 books. Ray had made two film hit adaptations- Sonar Kella (1974), and Joi Baba Felunath (1979)- with veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee cast as Feluda. The massive success of these films spawned several television and web series. While Ray’s son Sandip Ray directed Sabyasachi Chakraborty as Feluda in both television series as well as in films, actors like Shashi Kapoor, Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chattopadhyay have also essayed the role of the young detective.
The trailer of the film will release on November 16.
