Love Story, the Telugu film starring actors Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya in the lead roles that released in theatres on September 24, is set to premiere on the Telugu streaming platform aha, a source in the know told Silverscreen India on the condition of anonymity.
There has been no official announcement about this.
Written and directed by filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, Love Story was backed by the filmmaker’s production banner Amigos Creations in association with Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. Apart from the lead actors, Love Story also features actors Devayani, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Rajeev Kanakala, and Easwari Rao in pivotal roles.
Speaking to Silverscreen India, the source said, “The platform acquired Love Story a year ago. Along with it, some 7-8 (other) originals are also coming up in the near future. With a 30-day window period (between theatre and OTT release) used as the general format, the platform is still locking the date of release. Aha is quite flexible on that front and the film will release on the platform post-October 24.”

According to a report in the trade publication Box Office India. the film, with a first day collection of nearly Rs. 9 crores net, recorded the eighth-best opening among Indian films released since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic; and the best opening for a film since theatres reopened after the second wave of the pandemic.
