On August 28, Sriya Reddy starrer Andava Kaanom was to premiere on JSK Film Corporation‘s homegrown OTT app JSK Prime Media. However, the film did not see a release after a civil suit was filed by P Chengiah of T Nagar, a film shooting equipment supplier and financier Jaswanth Chand Bandari against the film on Tuesday, August 25. The plaintiffs claimed that the owner of JSK Film Corporation, J Sathish Kumar, owed them money and thereby asked for a stay on the release of the film.
In an attempt to fill in, Sathish Kumar has announced on Friday evening that his other production, Priyanka Upendra starrer Mummy Save Me, will release on the OTT platform on August 30. The film will be available for viewing on the JSK Prime Media app, through the pay-per-view option for a fee of Rs. 60, said Sathish.
In a statement, he said that once the issues around Andava Kaanom are resolved, he would announce the release date of the same. The producer also mentioned that about 14k users had pre-booked the film on the app and thanked them for their interest in the film.

Mummy Save Me, originally a Kannada horror-thriller flick helmed by H Lohith released in 2016 and fared quite well at the box office. The film, based on true events, revolved around a pregnant woman and her daughter who stay in a haunted villa. Priyanka Upendra essayed the lead role along with Yuvina Parthavi who played her daughter.
Back then, rumours were that the Tamil remake of the same would most likely be headlined by Jyotika. Rubbishing rumours, JSK Film Corporation released a Tamil dubbed version of the film’s trailer on YouTube, which has now been taken down, along with the news that the film would release in 2018. After much delay, the film will hit the OTT platform directly tomorrow.
Mummy Save Me has HC Venu on the camera, Ajaneesh B Loknath on music, and Ravichandran on edit. The film also stars Madhusudhan Rao in an important role.
